Supporting Ontario Infrastructure Investments and Lands (SOiiL Inc.*) was created in 2013 to encourage and facilitate the responsible and beneficial reuse
of excess construction soils in Ontario. SOiiL is a non-profit organization which provides a forum for individuals and organizations wishing to obtain
information regarding recent developments in Ontario involving the adoption of Best Management Practices (BMPs).
In addition to promoting the responsible handling of excess soils, it is also intended to support, educate and encourage the implementation of the Ontario
Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) new excess soils related regulatory regime.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
In December 2019, the MECP announced new regulatory requirements for the management of excess soils in Ontario. In conjunction with these
announcements there is now a planned implementation timetable for the various components of the new regulatory framework. Entities involved
in the planning, management, transportation and receiving of excess soils should make themselves familiar with these changing regulatory requirements.
